Nippon Comsys Corporation (Comsys), the largest organization within the JPY 270Bn COMSYS Holdings Corporation Group, is Japan's premier telecom engineering, equipment construction and installation organization. In addition to serving NTT and other telecom groups Comsys also provides IT solutions and delivers a range of CSR focused social infrastructure projects e.g. solar power generation facilities.
In 2016 Comsys invited systemsGreen, a division of our systemsGo distribution partner to supply our technology to support a comprehensive COOLNOMIX® energy-saving pilot. The location of this COOLNOMIX® pilot, Comsys Shinagawa, Tokyo Headquarters, is an 8 storey building equipped throughout with modern, state-of-the-art, inverter based Mitsubishi Electric manufactured City Multi VRF air conditioning systems.
For the pilot 15 COOLNOMIX® AC-01 units were installed by Comsys engineers to cover all air conditioning indoor units (IDUs) on the top storey, 8th floor of their Shinagawa Headquarters building. Commencing in July 2016 a three-week baseline was taken of the outdoor unit (ODU) energy consumption of air conditioning systems serving the 8th and 7th floors. As expected, this baseline confirmed that the COOLNOMIX® equipped top storey had a higher heat load and air conditioning energy consumption than that on the 7th floor. Subsequently, in August 2016, with COOLNOMIX® in operation Comsys data confirmed that air conditioning energy savings of 39.8% were delivered by COOLNOMIX® compared with the 8th floor baseline.
We are pleased to note that that Comsys is installing COOLNOMIX® energy optimization systems on all Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning units within their Shinagawa Headquarters. In addition, Comsys is now working with our systemsGo distribution partner to evaluate how COOLNOMIX® should be positioned to best serve their own telecommunications customers.
